@cheshyr Take it from somebody who has read both series, Tolkien is wayyyy worse about talking about mundane shit. If you do like novels and you love the show I’d check it out. It gives so much more insight into all the characters and their motives. Plus you get much more of em, good or bad (I fucking HATE HATE HATE Sansa chapters).
This show just keeps breaking my heart. Ned Stark and Jon Snow will always be my favorite characters, but now all that is left for me personally, is Arya and Brienne. Brienne doesn’t get as much love in the show but she is a fucking fantastic character in the books….oh and I guess there’s Tyrion.

Dude Battle Of Bastards was one of the best if not the best hour of TV ive ever seen. Regardless of the fact that I called literally every angle before it came (it wasn’t that hard) and wasn’t really surprised by any of it at all, I loved every single second of it.
My two issues with it were
1: Jon could have easily called Ramsey’s shots to Rickon via either hand gesture or yelling while his arrows were mid air. Arrows don’t travel at light speed and some basic irregular serpentine could have saved his life. On that note fuck Rickon he was a useless character I didn’t care about so its kinda chill they wont be wasting any more time on him. To make sure I spelled his name halfway right I googled it and the top google search is Rickon zig zag so I guess the world agrees with me lol.
2: I wanted the battle for Meereen to have its own episode. I guess theres bigger plans there tbd but it just didn’t get enough time to be even more awesome then it was.

When he said No at Jon’s Parlay with the free folk I literally shouted at the screen “Good idea fucker your the last fucking giant you are way too big of a target to be running at archers of that number” He did go out like a boss though fuck a siege engine we gots a giant. I spilled my drink cheering Jon on as he bashed in Ramsey’s face….so damn satisfying

Ain’t gonna lie. Been watching this since it came out and this last episode was by far my favorite. Shit is unfolding perfectly and I am loving every second of it.

Sansa Stark told Ramses at the end that he said himself that his dogs had not been fed in 7 days. She had already rode away before he said this. … Maybe someone told her after the fact.

Excellent point but it could have been easily mentioned during their war meeting they had right after. Thats how im going to placate that extremely valid plot hole.

One thing I did not understand was why Ramses did not just shoot John instead of the giant. The giant was pretty much neutralized and was probably going to die in a few seconds anyway.
I would have shot John while he was looking at the giant then turned to the right and shot Sansa. Then if I was still alive, shoot the giant or maybe Little Finger.

I mean if you get into the midevil scene at all id give a chance. Relatable characters, good story line, action, romance, war, back stabbing, ooh whats gonna happen next type shit, you name it.
