Anyone see RZA's new movie Man with the iron fists? I heard it wasn't very good but I didn't expect too much. It is his first film and Eli Roth helped him write it. That guy bugs the fuck out of me.

What's wrong with Eli Roth? He kinda annoys me in a way. There's a bunch of other kung-fu flicks I wanna check out, probably what Muddy Waters mentioned and then some.

I tried to be a fan but still think he only made two decent movies. I was looking forward to “Thanksgiving”, which he said he was going to make, but then started producing shit film, after shit film. If it wasn't for Tarantino the guy wouldn't be where he is. I have no idea what Tarantino was smoking when he watched Cabin Fever and decided to take him under his wing. It was decent – that's all.
When everyone was reporting that he's the next horror master and that crap, his head blew up and the douchebagness became too much for me to listen to. Hostel was ok, but the amount of money that made was sad (it made a shitload) compared to what the best horror movies in the past ten years made. Then he was Hollywood's horror golden boy and he's nothing but a shitty producer for them now. I'm not jealous of his luck….but it's more luck than talent, for sure.

i think scruffy sum it up perfectly, im a big martial arts fan and im a fan of the wu tang clan even though i think there site is ass-cheeks(too many trolls and wannabe e-thugs). the movie was good the storyline and had some nice fighting scenes. but i honestly felt as if it was missing something. imo they actually are some reference that were made to other movies. if you look at batista character he plays a bronzeman. like that of the 18 bronzeman and there are some scenes the lovely dovely shit that makes me think of this movie called the sentimental swordsman.
