Anyone seen anything new that doesn’t suck cocks? I’ve watched a stupid amount of horror released in the past year and can’t think of more than 3 that were good.

I honestly thought the Conjuring was decent.
Audition isn’t a new movie, but it is pretty badass. Japanese film. Start playing it and then tell your girl it’s a romance movie and freak her out.
Korean film: Tale of Two Sisters. They remade it with “The Uninvited”, but this it is a great film. Beautiful movie.
I saw the Devil: More of a thriller, about a rapist/serial killer in Korea. I watched it by myself in Korea and was kinda scared to go out at night. No one wins.

I also thought the evil dead remake was decent, and Lords of Salem was good (but not really scary). I guess it just depends on what you’re looking for in a horror movie.
I enjoyed VHS and VHS 2 as well.

Excision is a great indie horror
Curse of chucky is a good new throwback to old chucky
Maniac remake with frodo was good and has a great score/sountrack
Bad milo was funny/cheesy horror like old 80s puppet creature film
Stoker is worth a watch,great cinematography.
You’re Next was a good home invation movie way better than Purge.
The Conjuring and Insidious 2 were good
Evil Dead is the shit
Lords of salem is ok very slow but worth a watch
Stay far away from Texas Chainsaw.Terrible movie
American Mary is worth a watch

abc’s of death I didnt care for but had some cool shit in it thats worth a watch
Stitches was really bad but worth a watch for the kills.Very imaginitive.

Why you should be excited:
It’s allegedly a darker take on the Leprechaun films, which would mean it’s a return to its roots. The first film in the franchise is actually pretty great…
What it’s about:
No one knows, but it’s produced by WWE. Is that good? Probably not.

See this is how I feel about a lot of movies, they are GOOD, but they are not scary.
Mama is a really good movie imo, just not that scary. Lords of Salem is a pretty fucking badass movie, it is just WEIRD, not SCARY.
ALso, if you want to see another weird japanese movie watch visitor q. Made by the same dude who made Audition, a dude chokes a woman to death, fucks her, and then his dick gets stuck in her dead pussy. Like, that’s some Psychopathic records song concept type shit.

ABCs of Death was fucking hilarious! Some of the shorts are kinda good, but most of them are just fucking amazing because they are so funny. All of the ones from Japanese directors are exactly what you would expect from Japanese directors.

ya I agree man.Movies just dont scare me either.Insidious and conjuring had some creepy parts but not scary.Only movie that really scared the shit out of me was when I watched Fire in the sky in the theatre when I was a kid scared the shit out of me.Fuck aliens, now that shit creeps me the fuck out.

Lords of Salem was an interesting one. I drank far too much to even begin to decipher the story, but I’ve heard being sober wouldn’t have helped me in that area anyway.
Room 237 has a little thread on here. Its worth a watch I guess.
I don’t watch many flicks these days, and can’t recall any outstanding horror recently besides “The Cabin in the Woods”.
But “American Psycho” is on Netflix hell yeah

Human Centipede was horrible, Human Centipede 2 was worse. They were pretty fucking funny though!
The Bay is a mildly decent movie. In the style of a documentary like devil inside or (kinda) paranormal activity. Instead of aliens or demons or whatever though, it is about a city with mutated parasites.

Centipede 2 was leaps and bounds better than the first one. The original was actually boring as fuck, but I thought the direction he went with 2 was brilliant. It’s actually more of an anti-horror movie. It takes several stabs at the genre. The minimalist dialogue is my favorite aspect of the sequel. Really looking forward to part 3, a 500 person centipede made out of convicts sounds kind of promising. Tom Six is the most creative director making these films right now.
