usually foreign movies are original and innovative. America keeps putting out the same shitty movies over and over again because they want to keep it safe knowing that they will make a profit….that why we get really safe shitty horror movies ,remakes and super hero films…they know for a fact they will make profit from shit that has already been done before because they know people will pay over and over for the same shit. Foreign films is the way to go usually, horror or not.

Eh, I’m gonna have to disagree after some of the foreign films I have watched.  I’m not a PETA nut [in fact both PETA and ASPCA can go suck a fart from Bastion Booger’s asshole], but [and I can’t remember which they were as it’s been forever] they were apparently killing animals and shit.  I looked it up and the consensus was “well, they don’t have as strict of laws about that over there”.  

As for American films, none of them want to be different anyways, so they give the film companies an excuse to keep doing the same old shit. They all want to have fake looking “aged” 70s bullshit.  It makes no sense and it’s fucking irritating.  Rob Zombie is the absolute worst offender in this regard.  They all want to do inside jokes and references to try and out mentally masturbate each other in a circle jerk of reused bullshit.  For instance, all the Texas Chainsaw Massacre references in House of 1000 Corpses and The Devils Rejects.  There is a ton of them; the most obvious being the face mask.

Found footage films were terrible from the word go.  Can’t stand any of them.  And I wouldn’t exactly lump Leslie Vernon as a “found footage film”, as it starts out as a mockumentary, then turns into a slasher flick.  Scream esque, kind of, in it’s self-aware meta style.

I might have to watch leslie vernon again…I saw it like 10 years ago I think and from what I remember I didnt care for it…my tastes have changed so I might have to check that one out again.

It’s very meta, but very tongue in cheek.

I guess leatherface is a teenager in this one .I have high hopes for this since its being directed by french filmmakers Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo that did Livid,Inside and Among the living…great and talented filmmakers…looking forward to Leatherface.

I heard Blumhouse is remaking Martyrs?? god why…lol…the og is just fine the way it is…American remake will fuck that all up.

Seriously? Another Texas Chainsaw movie? How many times are they gonna remake that movie??

its the same with any franchise..Halloween,nightmare etc…milk it for all its worth..but as a horror movie fan how can you complain??  unless its sucks balls of course but Ill take a remake,prequel,sequel anyday…just hopefully they do it some justice.. the new texas chainsaw is a prequel not a remake..they only remade texas one time..check out the movies I listed like inside,livide or among the living…those guys are making Leatherface…if anyone knows how to make a good horror movie its these guys…julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo…..

And they’ve already made a Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel.  And that 4th one kind of a remake as well.  Or rather, an “update”.

texas chainsaw 2003  is a remake…the beginning is prequel..texas chainsaw 3d was a sequel to the OG..Leatherface 2016 is a prequel…

texas chainsaw 2003 is a remake…texas chainsaw the beginning 2006 prequel to 2003 remake…texas chainsaw 3d 2013 was sequel to the OG…Leatherface 2016 is prequel to OG…..confusing shit..lol
