Journey to the West – An old buddhist fable directed by & starring the same guy that did Kung Fu Hustle. Fuckin awesome in every way.
Troll Hunter – Hunting giant trolls in Norway. The monsters look really impressive & it’s pretty funny too.
The Murders at Manchester Morgue – Old zombie flick, but not your standard zombie fare. Classic.

i thought Man With the Iron Fists was pretty bad, but had its moments. I think Russell Crowe pulling anal beads out a gals anus with his teeth was pretty stellar.
Get Hard was surprisingly funny.

Audition is a great film. It’s a Japanese flick about a widower who decides to hold auditions to find his next wife.
It’s especially good if you watch it with someone who has never seen it and you tell them it’s a drama. The first 2/3rds or so are basically a romance movie, then everything goes batshit insane during the last third of the movie.
Noroi: The Curse, another Japanese movie, might be the best found footage film I’ve ever seen.

I liked “Audition” but will likely never watch it again. Great ending.
“Good Boys” we watched the other night. It wasn’t bad. A bit forced at times.
Back to “The Irishman”, man, fuck that movie, man. 99% of the world says they love it, or will cowardly claim they do out of fear of being ostracized, but it really isn’t a good movie. Maybe I am just missing something vital in my brain. I also felt like this about both of the first “Godfathers”. I just dont get it. That one was a product of it’s time and I respect it as a vital motion picture. But this new one… Christ, what a waste of time.
