Doesn’t give me the creepy vibe Heath Ledger’s did in the initial Dark Knight trailer. Seems like he’ll fit in with the rest of the characters. Doesn’t help that I still see him as the dude from Requiem For A Dream.

I’m looking forward to this more than Superman vs Batman.

Heaths joker was so dope. I’m not feeling letos mallgoth joker but i mostly chalk that up to being an old fart who hates change. I’m sure he’ll do fine in suicide squad. I’m not really that interested in the movie so i might not watch it. 

I’m much more interested in batman v superman just because of the sentimentality of it. I’m curious about how they tell that story more than i am excited to watch it. Really the only super hero shit I’m actually excited for is the Netflix marvel properties. Daredevil 2 and luke cage, primarily. Not too hype for iron fist or the defenders but I’m open to them. So far Netflix hasn’t failed me.

*MY* take on it is… that whole movie can GET FUCKED for what they did to Harley Quinn!

Strike 1: No accent. You may not think it’s a big deal. It IS. The entire character of Harley Quinn was BORN from a single voice from Aileen Sorkin. It was HER VOICE that gave life to Harley (and has for a LONG time)

Strike 2: Harley has NO IDEA WHO THE JOKER IS until the day…

Strike 3: The Joker pushes her into the same kind of vat of goo that made HIM into the Joker…

If they did THAT to fuckin’ Harley, what do you think they did to Joker?! They COMPLETELY fucked up the dynamic between these two characters and as a result will not BE the characters we know at all. I said from the beginning that this movie should just be called “Harley and Friends” and would live or die based on how they did her and… now we know. Seeing Jared Leto’s take on Joker is NOT NEARLY enough of a draw for me to make up how they managed to fuck her up so bad. And Will Smith sure as hell ain’t got nuthin’ to do with ANYbody coming to see this.

Margot Robbie would have been a PERFECT Harley Quinn. She’s a british chick that did a Jersey accent in “Wolf of Wall Street” so it’s not like she couldn’t swing Harley’s Bronx thing. They made her look JUST LIKE she does in the Arkham games… Everything seemed to be in place… and all it took was one trailer with her saying, “Huh?” and the whole thing fell apart.

I look forward to getting posters of Margot Robbie’s hot ass in those shorts and ponytails but my desire to GO see this has been leeched from me cuz I just couldn’t watch our favorite harlequin turned into anything less than her badass self. Personally I think it was some kinda PC bullshit decision to change their relationship in the current state of feminism that may not have looked understandingly to Harley and Joker’s odd/abusive relationship that has inspired people around the world.

Damn shame is what it is!

I’ll probably see it opening weekend. I want to see how much they intertwine Wonder Woman into the story. Maybe an invisible jet!? Change happens, ya old fart! lol

And I agree with everything @cheshyr said regarding Harley. The accent threw me off right away, was really looking forward to that harsh, Jersey accent I’ve come to love. I had no idea they’d watered down the abusive relationship. Their relationship is fucked up. Get folks talking about it. Who knows. 

Speaking of Hot Topic … should see an influx of diamond forearm tattoos in the near future. 

I don’t need to be schooled. I agree with you. I never loved Harley but i did grow up watching the series that She was created on. 

Lots of people like her as she is now but i think they have essentially turned her into a new character. I do not like the look, and i greatly prefer the original origin story. It was a lot more interesting and complex, and gave her some autonomy which is nice.
