I am asking this question because I am working on a SIMKEN HEIGHTS archive with stories about the 90's rap group.

That's a dope idea

Mass must have quit rapping in the 90s based on Cap Ones solo career in the early 00s

From the last time we spoke to now the only thing new thing I found out about Simken Heights was via discogs when someone updated Simken Height discography page and cited that Mass was featured on The Madd Rapper's EP called No Parole. He was formerly known as Mass Hysteria. However, you already knew this & potentially are the person who updated Simken Height's discog page.

That Bong Thang video posted by maiznblue1 on YouTube really answered a lot of questions. We know that Mass, Alan Jackson, & Jerome were in a group called Children Of A Lesser God before becoming Simken Heights and adding Cap One(B. Holloway). If Children Of A Lesser God had put out material then it could potentially still be out there. I've already started searching online audio tape trading forums and Facebook tape circulations groups. I've reached out to two tape collectors in Michigan for any help.

As for the Mass solo as Brainwater this is the only other reference I've come across online. It was posted not too long ago.

This reviewer also posted 2 more reviews of Simken Heights albums.

Based on their reviews they seem very knowledgeable on Flint & Lansing rap. They could be another potential lead. I'll post any new updates I find.

Thanks for your dedication and research. Yes, Mixerreviews only knows about Brainwater because I sent him an email about the supposed rumor of this Brainwater project existing but he does find some rare and hard to find info about early hip hop rap projects. Also, I never posted anything on discogs but I have been writing back and forth with the MAD Rapper on the Bong Thang youtube link I attached on another post on here. Also I still cant find any evidence stating that Brian Hammock does ministry. Just curious why someone as talented as Brian, why would he just quit music in general. Brian is for sure a poet and masterfull story teller!!! I advised Mixerrreviews to call Tim Houser to ask about the supposedly "Smoke Wizard" project. Curt D from KGP and Bedlam say that Tim Houser was in talks with a guy from Kentucky who claims to have the master reels from Smoke Wizard. Here is Tim Houser's Owosso Uptown Studios Phone+1 989-725-5514 just to call and ask if he confirms the story about the Smoke Wizard album. Where I live in the country of Colombia, the reception is not that great so of anyone wants to call Tim just to get us more info especially how to contact this kat in Kentucky who most wants a large sum of money for the master reels with most likely Brian's last rap vocal recording. This whole Smoke Wizard project is a kind a like a great strange mystery because not even Cap One will mention it while other known horrorcore rappers do say the Smoke Wizard project does exist!!! If you find any new info. my email [email protected]

Thanks to Halloween's post with this link, https://mixerrreviews.blogspot.com/2019/09/mixerr-album-reviews-1867.html

seems these Lansing Hip Hop kats had one of the first Fresh Prince style rap tracks in 1987.

KMC KRU is the duo who started KMC Records who eventually signed Simken Heights in the 90’s.

I have confirmation that Brian "MASS" Hammock is alive and well.

Also, I am trying to get the pdf document for the court case of J Romes murderer just to understand the 1995 whole murder trial.

I have yet to interview MASS but all with time.

I am told that Madness Kurt D has video vhs video footage when MASS was still doing concerts back in the late 90's so if anyone personally knows Madness from Bedlam, please remind him to digitize the vhs footage he has of Brian "Mass" Hammock rapping on stage and to upload it to youtube.

Much Thanks
