Hey i can't speak for what Q-strange was thinking... with these songs, or whatever... but I'm definitely not 1 that should judge.. cuz I fucking Love GG Allin's music... ya know so... take that how you want 2 ...
i Mean GG Allin said some shit too, but I know for sure GG wasn't racist... so, i don't know whatever... Making a racist hip hop song is kind of different though, but Fuck THE world, i'm not trying to be the PC police or anything, i just heard this shit and it pissed me off...
and if you know anything about GG he went... way farther than anyone...
but anyway... I don't know... If You Have a bleach blonde haircut and brag about being white in your raps, then yeah i'll probably consider you a racist... like that fucking Cornball idiot eminem...
I Don't know what to think about this Q-Strange shit..., but it's not good, i mean... i'm sure all of you internet nerds are gonna say i'm triggered or whatever but fuck you... But to me, this is a Horror Core legend being exposed as a Racist, it's wack, there's nothing cool about this...
at least with GG Allin you knew he was doing it to piss you off... kind of feels like Q-Strange meant this shit... i don't know...

People just don't understand Yelawolf. I didn't for years. Yela can write his ass off and choose to be lyrical when he wants. His lines are more organic rather than overthought. He has a line on his Arena Rap EP where he says he had to dumb it down. Yela is on a higher musical peak than most rappers when it comes to pure raw artistic ability. The lyrical miracle style and og gangsta rap just ain't the wave anymore. You gotta make your own lane if you aren't emo/trap/pop and he's accomplished just that.
As far as the current shit Royce is talking about though. I have no idea but I doubt he's racist considering his dead best friend Shawty Fatt was black.

Valid point. To me the original Trunk Muzik is his most hip hop project and was a product of it's time meant to appeal to undergound and mainstream heads. Although that shit slapped, it was full of generic rap themes and could come off as unoriginal. His Shady/Interscope follow up project "Radioactive" was meant to reach the masses and ended up with an uninspired pop sound and didn't get him "radio active". Since then though he's stayed true to himself and done his own thing.

The twang is one thing but the lifestyle is another. Rural people love to here others talk about rural shit, and he knows where he came from and he knows his fanbase. I resented everything country for a long time because it was a reflection of the microcosm I grew up in but now I tend to cling to it because it's a reflection of self. Shitkicker stuff is all some of us know. Especially when you grew up poor. You want that shit you couldn't have. I look at a John Deere like a Rolls Royce that can make you money back. I completetey understand if that shit ain't your cup of tea but for some us it's like sweet tea on a hot day pulling weeds in a mosquito infested field while your grandpo says "ques es bug spray?". Yela ain't tryin to make hick shit cool, he's letting yall know about cool hick shit.

Country rap is a constant puzzle for me. I enjoy some; the rest I loathe. There are some great articles on it. And this Murs chat is great:
I mean, Rehab to me is different. Especially back in the Danny and Brooks days. These guys can rap their rucking asses off, and Danny is a hell of a singer. They would occasionally give shout outs to The South, primarily their hometown in Georgia, but have never flown the Confederate flag or said anything fucking overtly political. Danny has formed several Rehab groups since he and Brooks parted ways, and now it seems that Danny dips his toes in the whole Hick Hop world at his own whim. He proudly denounces the Confederate flag in this track I heard recently I'll have to find it and post it soon. ... anyway, they stay original and unique with their raps and dont have to pander 100% to the ATV-Beer-Daisy Dukes-Trump squad where the money is at. Just drop in occasionally when there is a dope track to be made.
Anyway, some are good but many are infuriatingly wack.

Yela isnt any more country rap than rehab is. To me country rap is generally corny as fuck. It doesn't feel genuine. You cant compare a Yelawolf to a Haystack. Theres a good reason Shady signed him. Anyone who has been through the catalogue can see the vision and growth. Calling it country rap is simplifying his vision.
Edit. I love rehab btw. Danny Boone was always my favorite though

He signed him so early on, I think Em helped solidify & lend credibility to him.. Yela definitely worked hard to build his fanbase but Em got lucky yela is as big as he is.. most of the rappers Em has signed havent been that successful.. really only 50 & Yela are.. griselda are still too new to call..
