It's really sad to see him go. His music has really changed my life. My friend first showed me Sag my Pants, and I was hooked from the jump. But I don't think he's gone for good. I think he's probably gonna come back in a few years and begin again.

I get what you are saying lucem but it just seems weird about how he talks about making something of yourself and then throws in all his hard work just because it 'isn't for him'. i don't buy that shit for a second.

I still don't particularly want him in my country, its not a racism thing or anything like that. it just grinds my gears that a uneducated (see all of his music) out of work musician with no real prospects gets allowed into the country while a close personal friend of mine who is an award winning jeweller isnt purely because they claimed she wasnt about to speak english correctly enough. which is a crock because she spent 4 years here on a study visa and could speak better english than most white people i know.

He did make something of himself, but he also preaches about doing what makes you happy, he wasn't happy with what he was doing. Who knows what he's going to do now, though. I, like most people, think he'll come back to rap. Think he should of just taken a vacation or something.

I agree that it's pretty stupid to say he's doing this for them then give up. It's like he's giving up on them, and what does that say to them?

This is the one thing that annoyed me about Hopsin, he preached and acted like he was the pinnacle of morality because he preached in his music. He preached about how artists have a responsibility to watch what they say in their music.

It's bullshit, people are going to do what they want. These kids wanted to change their lives deep down, they just used his music as an excuse. Just like the kids who listen to ICP or Marilyn Manson or Eminem who kill or shoot up their schools wanted to do it deep down, they just used the music as an excuse. I mean, if you don't want to suck dick I doubt there is a song that can persuade you to suck a dick. A song can't load a gun for you nor can it sign a job application for you, only you can do that. And honestly, if somebody uses Hopsin leaving rap as an excuse to give up they deserve to fail.

The REAL reason Hopsin left the music industry:

Any little shred of respect I had for him is gone now, I guess. You can only do this shit so many times, man. How many times will he make statements about himself that prey on his fans empathy for him, then be like "can't believe ya'll fell for that shit" before people stop supporting him? Imagine Twiztid doing that..."Jamie is having some serious doubts about his life and career, and is going to retire from performing" only to later hear "Y'all are some dumbasses for believing that. Buy our new album." That's what Hopsin's done numerous times, yet people still buy his shit?? Fuck you, dude, I don't want your album.
