I use magix, and its pretty basic if your just recording. as far as beats, I don't know, I don't make em. I just paste whatever project im working on, and record, edit, cut, add effects.. what have you.

you could check out pirate bay, and download it free, and navigate through it.

@sean-law well I think you should start making some beats!  I know you know song structure, and defiantly one of the illest rappers in here.  I'd put money up on you being a SICK beat-maker homie.

This. Especially if they're anything like the beats you use.

My problem with YouTube tutorials is that they always seem to be from super old versions of the software and everything has changed, but maybe that's just reaper.

Really!  Damn I use the tube for everything pretty much.  I had to change a fuse in my dryer....boom YouTube!  Lol I'd help you out Pigg but to be honest I've never heard of Reaper before man.  But every DAW is basically the same really.... Well usually.  I've only ever worked on Magix, Logic and Pro Tools.  For beat software it was Fruity Loops and Reason 5.

hey Jester did you make those beats?  I like that first one with the female singing sample!

I wouldent know where to start. I only made 2 beats, and those the sickNsane disses. and I wouldent technically say I made them, they were loaded into the program as samplers and loops, so I just pieced them together and edited them.

I would love to make beats, I just.... don't know how, or have the patience.

maybe I will mess around with something.

know any good beat programs Scrubbs?

I'll fuck you till you love me, Faggot!

Yeah man try and get Reason!  And if you do get it I can send you a dope ass how to DVD that goes setup by step thru the entire program.  I'll mail it to you, it was like $40 bucks for that DVD!  Haha Reason is the best software IMO.  Get a super cheap midi keyboard and you'll be set homie!  You can get a midi keyboard at guitar center for like $75 or search craigslist man.

since i have an actual standalone workstation, i still use that.

far as production, ill use whatevers layin around.  drum machines n samplers n keyboards [ya know, the old shit], or whatever program on the pc.  i actually think flstudio is quite serviceable.

in the end, it doesnt matter if your still recording on analog tapes.  aint like anybody got a record label or an expectant audience to satisfy, so as long a reasonable amount of effort is put into it, quality-wise, itll be good enough.

more bells and whistles wont make you more creative;  if thats how youre approachin it, youre probably a dilettante and should find sumn else to do.

  awfully paranoid, arent you?

I would say learning some basic music theory would probably help everyone. I've been trying to teach myself some theory.

Bells and whistles absolutely make you more creative that's what they are there for.  Example is I went from MPC 1000 to the 5000 bells and whistles all day and the sample time, effects and over all work flow makes you WAY more creative homie!

Yooooo whats up yall thanks for all your replys and comments

All my beats were takin from youtube. most of them are from Tunnabeatz and Jurdbeats.

Pretty much I typed in "horrorcore instrumental" and scrolled till I found one I liked haha

@novocaine Thanks so much for the props man! Your the first person besides my homies to give me any kind of a compliment haha. Im deff gonnna stick around with yall ive been checking FLH for my news everyday for years!

@djscrubb  I really appreciate your input man. I keep getting the same reponse that I need to drop my name but ive been using it for a year now and its really growing on me. Sometimes I spell it like J3ST3R but I totally see what you guys mean by how I need to deviate from the juggalo rapper stereotype. And man I will gladly hit you up for some help haha this is what I love to do and im going to keep practicing!

@sean-law  Thanks for the input homie! Regarding the picture I have: When I was making a FLH and Youtube account I found a pic on google images and used it haha I deff need to get my own kind of symbol/art made to stand out. And like I said above I hear you guys about the name change I just am so used to it and all my friends know it blah blah blah but I know Im not shit right now so I could change anything and get away with it so im gonna give it a lot of thought.

Im gonna take everyones advice and definatly try out a new DAW like Magix, Im gonna think long and hard about my name and image. I guess I thought I was being kind of original with the whole Renaissance jester approach but yall are deff making me think otherwise haha.

I do have more songs on youtube and dozens I haven't recorded (and wont until I learn some new software besides shitty audacity) So yall are going to see more of me!

This all started rapping drunk to my friends at parties but now its all I think about, its all I want and life is too short to not do what you want to do in this biatch

Dude very cool of you to being so open about everything.  But yeah man most of the successful Juggalo rappers you wouldn't even really know that they were a Juggalo from their image. (Most of them)  That's because people like us looking elsewhere due to the image.  If we wanted that we just bump PSY.  And if you start making some noise 99% of people will just compare you to that Jokerr dude anyway....and I know you don't want that.  Don't get me wrong personally I think he's super fresh with the rapping and production side of things I mean he does everything himself.  Like Sean said if you really wanna do this and take is seriously then a name/gimmick change would have to come.  Just being honest, I mean hey if you wanna roll with it then more power to you bro.  But you have the talent and your lyrics are really cool too.  I'll be looking out for ya man..

THIS is how you respond to constructive criticism. Kudos, man!

@the-warlock @sicknsane @OtherBullshitOverInflatedEgoRappers, take notes. Props for listening to feedback and not being a total bitch about it. A lot of people get defensive and take the advice as a personal attack.

Yall are the shit haha xD

All of your guys feedback has had be on cloud n9ne all day

So, My name is Charley Sunday, And because my name sticks in your head and is kinda individual maybe I should just use that shit as my MC name? or even Sunday? Shit I don't know haha but I know I need to focus on my raps before I even try to come up with a stage persona. I do like the name Pagan too but that's kinda clunky and dumb too idk

Anyway fam heres a song of me rappin for about 4 mins with no hook I jus decided to write until the beat stopped. This was one of my first songs and my mic control and production value is that of a dyslexic mongoloid but I gotta share it haha

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTsK07Q1ntU

its called Wicked bars. I got the name idea from chris webbys 50 barz where he jus spits.

Give me that feedback yo I got more songs to upload and I want to hear what the fam thinks of a kid trying to live his dream in his room.

I love yall

WHOOP WHOOP

Seriously.

Embrace that name.  I got stuck with Sean law...

You could even go Chuck Sunday, Chuck sundae,

Edit your profile and revamp it Sunday. Run with this. It's hella better than the jester gimmick.
