Now I'm pretty sure a majority of you who happen to have youtube channels and/or accounts got this in their e-mail inbox yesterday.

The "Your Fired" letter 90% of youtubers got yesterdayImage Enlarger

Pretty much this is the now-controversial move youtube has announced for their "Youtube Partner" program in the wake of the imfamous "We found a dead body hanging from a tree in Japan's Suicide Forest" video by Logan Paul. Now youtube made a video yesterday explaining this which well... Ain't gotten the best response by the smaller [under 10,000 or less subs channels] that pretty much if you want to make youtube your job instead of a hobby like most of us. You have to pretty much be as good as those with 1 to 10 million sub's.

Now the response has been a mix of good and bad. With the smaller youtubers voicing their opinion's loud and clear on all platforms.

And slightly bigger youtubers talk about it as well

Now by now your asking yourself "Hey KM, how the fuck does this effect the juggalo community?"

Well squirt lemme tell ya how. Youtube's already screwed over juggalo youtubers, and made it a big deal that juggalo-releated content shouldn't be monetized in the wake of the 2011 FBI Gang Assessment report. But a majority of the popular juggalo youtubers unfortunately don't meet the requirements, with the exception of both ChildPlayNinja who has 10,684 subscribers, and TheBoyBlue91982 who has 9,047 subscribers on youtube according to their SocialBlade stats qualifying them for the now-new youtube partner percs and possible Google Ad-Preferred tier ad-rev. While the rest will have to resort to other means of income if they plan on making youtube their full time job. Unfortunately a majority of these people can't afford the 1099 tax forms needed to fill out for a Pateron account and you can only use paypal donations if you have a paypal debit card or a checking account attached to it.

Will these new policies ruin youtube for the long term as far as their future in the wake of both PewDiePie's nazi jokes from 2017, and Logan Paul's "it's a real live dead body... ha ha ha ha" this year? The answer is yes and no. Yes because it's going to seal the casket's for a majority of smaller youtubers who out there want to make this their job, want to be the next Markiplier or the next Philip DeFranco or the next Jenna Marbles or the next SSsniperwolf, and no because there's a huge majority of youtube channels who are at over 1 million subscribers who will be fine while those who are bitching [mainly the smaller channels] will have to suffer or begin whoring themselves for a silver, gold, diamond, or ruby play button. Now there's been alot of OG youtubers making the comeback trails as of late [TheWrestlingJesus being one of them] who have deleted, recreated, and deleted their accounts so many times they lost all their loyal fanbase [some for good] and their career's unfortunately are now over.

But yeah to sum it all up. Youtube has officially given small channels the boot from their kingdom as far as making money from advertisers. But it's not the end of the world for the smaller youtube channels. With facebook watch gaining steam as of late I can see alot of smaller channels moving there. And yeah to make money off the products you could just... Hmm I don't know, make a paypal or pateron account? Yeah you'll have to pay into the government every year with a pateron but hey it's worth it?

Now me? I have exactly 99 subscribers with over 30,000 lifetime views. I'm gonna be very affected by this new change but not really. I have other means on income in my life [Proud Mentally Disabled American BTW], but there's some who don't have a backup plan in their lives with this new change. But hey, it's not my place to talk about them.

What do you guys think of these new changes to youtube, do you think it's good, do you think it's bad, is this going to be the end of the youtube empire, or is everybody just taking this all the wrong way? Let me know. I'd love to hear your opinions.

Here's the sanest breakdown of this that I've stumbled across. According to this YouTuber this change was announced several months ago (and mostly ignored until now), isn't based on Logan Paul's stunt in the Suicide Forest, and has everything to do with bottom line analytics ($):

YouTube Video Thoughts Regarding the Youtube Partnership Program Changes

Crowdfunding like

https://www.patreon.com/

could be a decent solution for some.

From YouTube, click "Share" then copy the URL. Paste it here in the post editor and it automatically works ... as long as the YouTube video is not set to "do not embed".

It's been a week pretty much since I posted this. The Mass panic has died down. Alot of the smaller youtubers have begun with their own expansion plans to get that 1000 subs and extra content. Some are going with Pateron and Paypal, others are going old school with actual life-altering challenges [like myself. I'm challenging myself to actually lose some fucking weight lol.]. So alot of people have gotten over it. But it's still expected to cause a huge loss in new content creators for it's platform as more and more people to move to the Twitch Platform [Disney just inked a deal with Twitch to bring exclusive content from their Maker Studios brand which includes popular youtubers like JackSepticEye and Markiplier] due to it being easier to gain adrev plus for livestreams it's easier to maintain the chatboards.

I'm also pretty sure most of you have no idea what this is all about.

So what is this "Content ID" system?

When you upload a video to youtube, the website runs it through a database to see if your video matches anything in their database. In the case of my channel, youtube has checked my videos against the database of a company called "Ad Rev." They are one of the largest companies in the business of collecting royalties for video content creators, and they work with a lot of music labels and copyright holders.

If you create a video with a song in it, and that song is registered with Ad Rev, they will recognize that song and they will place a "Content ID Claim" on your video. When they do that, they automatically start placing ads on your video, and they collect all the revenue from those ads.

In their e-mail to me, youtube said that I had dozens of content ID claims on my channel, and that those claims were making me money. They told me that I could have those claims removed if I wanted, but it would mean that I would no longer make money from my videos.

Basically, what this means is that Youtube is not allowed to play..
